Those two heavy Mas 49/57 slip-on recoil pads I kept after getting rid of both guns is turning out to have been a brain storm. One fits just great on my SAR-1 with a PSOP 4X scope and Dragunov type stock for the extra eye relief I needed and the second recoil pad is now on my new Marlin 45/70 Guide Gun to boster the factory installed pad, its a perfect fit. Now I don't have to install a Decelerator recoil pad and can keep my "collector" (quit making them with ports) Guide Gun factory original.
The heck with 1700 fps, I'm going for 2000 fps now!
