I would just like to point out that the registration email address for the user "factual" is sswan*****@aol.com. The wife of ARMS, Inc's owner is named Sharon Swan.
An IP address (65.96.224.125) geolocation search shows that user "factual" is using an internet service provider that is based in Hyannis, MA, 60 miles from the address that ARMS gives on their website.
Now, setting aside for the moment that user "factual" is obviously someone who is associated with ARMS, allow me take The High Road, and address some of her points. (A truly thorough fisking of her posts would plainly take me the rest of the day, and frankly, I don't have the time to do that.)
Now, LaRue is a fairly big player, and a good company that provides excellent products and customer service. If your company can't compete on those grounds, I can understand how you'd be inclined to try to bully your competition through the legal system.
But the latest threats of lawsuits against small companies, such as
3Gun Stuff is utterly beyond the pale. It's far past any sort of actual need to defend trademark in any actual way, and is, frankly, nothing more than a high-dollar version of school yard bullying.
I personally know and have done work for Chris Marsh, the owner of 3Gun Stuff, and frankly, ARMS' bullying of him is the most ridiculously petty thing I think I've ever witnessed. There's certainly no way that a reasonable person would mistake the products sold by 3Gun Stuff for those sold by ARMS. First off, 3Gun Stuff doesn't sell scope mounts, and secondly the products sold by 3GS are actually well made.
No reasonable person could possibly think that bullying your competition with plainly ridiculous legal threats is supporting the 2nd Amendment, nor does ARMS do anything at all to support the shooting community as a whole.
