Hi Folks,

I just inherited a Stevens side by side model 335 12 gauge hammer-less shotgun. It has a 28" barrel...and is in decent shape.

My question...the firing pins are frozen and I cannot fully assemble the shotgun.

Suggestions for fixing this problem? Estimate of cost?

(Gun store said it was worth about $150...so I don't want to spend too much to fix)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Frank Buck

Try pulling the stock off and see if there's a crud buildup in the firing pin area that is freezing your pins; otherwise, it might be rust and something like Kroil will help.

Stevens Model 335 firing pins

Frank,

I've had this problem. In my case, I bought a used 335 with stuck firing pins. Apparently it had been dry fired too many times and the bodies of the pins had mushroomed and were sticking in their bores. A little grinding solved the problem. Should your problem not be that simple and you decide to sell or part out the gun, I need a set of 12ga barrels for my 335. [email protected]
