Does anyone have an Old Western Scrounger Rock Crusher press? If so, do they still make it and do you have any pics you could post? How well do you like it? Thanks to all...
Dave Cumberland of OWS retired and sold out to Navy Arms. Navy did not purchase the rights to the Rock Crusher.
The press retailed for $1050 and has been discontinued.
What in gods name made a press that looks basically like any other single stage press sell for $1050? Hell, not only had I never seen one, I'd never heard of one. What was supposed to be so spectacular about it (other than the price tag)?
As I remember they were HUGE presses made to reload 50 BMG and up .This is back 30+ years ago when shooting and rifles for 50 BMG was rare. IIRC the mechanical advantage
on this press would and could crush steel beer cans.....with the beer still in them.
Hmmm--that would be a terrible waste! I suppose most of you have read "Unintended Consequences". I wonder, is this what the hero was using to load those giant shells he often talks about? The one's he shot the chopper down with?
