I've been in "Neighborhood Patrol" here in NE San Antonio for several years. The area known as "Camelot" off Walzem Road. A bad element has moved into the area over the past few years. Armed robberies happen on Walzem and the BG's run into our residential area looking for open garage doors, fence gates that aren't closed, old people who can be roughed up,etc.
The neighborhood association is mostly retired military (never say "ex" or "former!" once you've been in it, it's always in you). Most of us have CHL's and always pack..never with the intention of using, but if we need to, it's there. Cell phones are primary to call Neighborhood Cop who patrols this area. You know exactly what I mean. It gives the ladies in their gardens during the weekdays, the old guys in wheelchairs washing their cars, etc. an extra sense of security.
Scum have stolen power wheel chairs, cars, deal dope out of a big apartment complex and roam the streets with blaring rap bass in their cars.
You MUST show a strong presence that will make these scum bags think twice about commiting crimes here.
