Thanks to all the help and info here I picked up a Lee classic turret and pro auto disk. I reloaded my first ammo last night!!. I am reloading 9mm and later on i will reload 223 and 3006. I got a great deal on on some brass at a local gun shop yesterday, I got 3000 rounds in an ammo can for 30.00 dollars!
It is mostly winchester and another head stamp I don't recognize it says (L C) along with (9mm). Does anyone know what brand of brass this is? i also found about 50 of the same head stamp but marked (+p+) these are also nickel cases . Are these +p+ ok to reload or would you steer clear?

I'm sorry The correct head stamp is (F C)

LC is military, but I can't remember what it stands for. The +p+ is just regular brass. The manufacturers stamp it that way so when you buy factory ammunition you will know what you bought. After that it is what ever you make it when you reload.

I remember now...LC=Lake City Ordinance...:)

The LC stand for Lake City brass and mostly what I shoot in ,223. There is nothing inherently wrong with any of the head stamps you mentioned and should all load fine as long as it isn't split or bellied out.

Your L C brass, if once fired will likely have a primer crimp that will have to be removed. You can remove the crimp with a reamer or swager.

Sorry for the mistype the correct head stamp is (F C) ,thanks for the info. Are the federal cases good?

Yes, Federal makes good brass.

FWIW, the only brass I've been told to keep away from, unanimously, is A-MERC.
