I just got off the phone with Bar Sto, they told me that all I need to do is buy one of their drop in barrels and a 9mm magazine and I'm good to go. Spring optional, but I'll probably buy one (how much could they be??) b/c I assume a lighter spring will cycle the action better in 9mm.

Is it really this easy? Are the Bar Sto drop in barrels decent?

Barsto barrels are great. They are drop in. The info they have given you is 100% correct. If you want to shoot 9mm out of your P239 go for it.

I used to have a P239 with a .357 Sig/40 S&W and a 9mm barsto conversion.

I managed to pull it off with just a SIG 9mm barrel and magazine, but SIG said it may not work in all guns due to the extractor.

Motega; I have read and hope it is!
I'm waiting on a .40 barrel for my 357 SIG, P239 right now, then I'll get a 9mm barrel too!

Lateck,

I have sigp239 .40cal an tried convert it to 9mm with a bar sto. The barrel did not just drop in, I had to send my gun in, and have it fitted, cost me $39.00 to ship it, they had the gun about two months, then it cost me $75.00 to have it shipped back to me overnight. I have not used a 9mm mag just the 40 cal and tried to cycle it by hand, some of the shells(unfired) would not eject from the chamber. I guess maybe its the extractor that does not work with this conversion. If I had it to do over again I would just buy a 9mm. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
