I picked up a P290 at Cabella's yesterday and put 100 rounds through it today at the range. The DAO does have a long trigger pull as reported, but it is very smooth and manageable. There is noticeable snap in this firearm due to the smaller size and it is more punishing than my P238 and P239.

My order of shooting today was 100 rounds through my P238, then 100 rounds through the P290. My wrist was tired when I put the P290 away. I finished with 100 rounds in the P239 which is definately more tame.

Performance was flawless and I'm looking forward to shooting it again.

Hmm, I don't see a quote icon, so I'll answer the questions as a whole.

- Accuracy was very good for such a small handgun. The night sights make it easy.

- As noted in the oproginal post, the trigger pull is long, but very smooth.

- Here are a few pics compared to the P238 and P239.

Damn, that is much smaller than I thought.
I mean wow. Its only a hair bigger than the 238.
I might have to get on of these!

This is a very interesting little gun. Even though I do see one of these in my crystal ball, I will wait to determine if they did indeed actually get it right. Nice to know they are starting to appear for sale, though. What did you pay, if you don't mind?
