I just received two P7's from Top Gun and these used guns look brand new. The surprise on top of that is they are consequative serial numbers. These were imported from a German Police operation and come in the box, with manual, cleaning brush and two mags. The mags look new too!

Congrats on your twin P7PSPs from TGS! We needs pics.:) Great deal with getting two mags with each P7. In the past and when I bought my P7PSP about two years ago everyone who were selling the police imported ones, were only selling them with one mag. Both P7PSP mags and P7M8 mags are hard to find sometimes (I never find them locally) and when you do find them they go for around $50 each (I picked up three more PSP mags, giving me a total of four of them, a year and half ago on Gunbroker for about $140). I would like to pick up a P7M8 someday, but I'm not in a hurry. I think everyone should own a HK P7 squeezecocker!

Yeah, thems is a goods deals.

Basically new P7s for 699 is going to be tough to beat for awhile I think.

I long for the days of the CDNN sale.

Nice P7's and info. Another set of twins would break me but I may not be able to resist!

Looks like the frame and slide have different date codes, IH and IE, but they have the same serial numbers. Hmmm, very interesting. I've not seen that on a P7 before. Great guns, enjoy them.

Also bears a Nds mark with a Ulm proof. Another oddity. Usually you see a military proof, not the commercial one with the agency marked guns.

Interesting observation thanks!

Let me know if you findout why the markings are that way.

I'd appreciate any info.

Thanks

The frame was made at one time. The slide was made at another time. They both probably sat in a warehouse for a bit then got mixed up. Since these are pretty much new guns I would wager they were built from spare or extra parts explicitly for import to the US. I know Sig has done this with both P6s and P228s.

Of course, just never saw them mated together like that before, especially several years apart. Usually different dates indicate a repaired gun, but the serial number throws that idea out.

These are not new by any stretch. The IE date is 1984 and the IH is 1987. Coupled with the fairly low serial number seen from the mid 1980's it all adds up to a genuine puzzle. My 62XXX serial number is from 1983. The consecutive serial numbers make it all the more interesting.

That's almost as unique as you'll get in P7 markings.

Interesting; '84 coded frames and '87 coded slides. My P7 with a later serial number has an '85 dated slide.

They're cool for a uniqueness factor... but they're kind of an answer in search of a question. :)

The OP said they looked like they looked brand new. Of course the parts could have been made a little bit ago and then stored for awhile until more recently sold. Just like Sig has done with the P6 recently. Cleared out their parts by building "new" guns. They are still new just built awhile ago.
