Since the frame cracked on my P80 build, and it went full auto, and I discovered that I actually preferred the factory Glock Gen 4 grip anyway, I decided to scrap the project.

However, most of the parts could be used on my Gen 4 G23, including the very cool NORSSO slide.

Even though it is a Gen 3 slide, I found a $20 part that slips on the front which allows it to fit my Gen 4 frame perfectly.

I was also able to use the Vickers extended slide stop, but not the Vickers mag release. My Gen 4 is all factory inside and the trigger system needs nothing as it is a perfect 4.5 lbs as is.

Installed the XS night sights, which hopefully will allow co-witnessing. I am really impressed with them for under $70. Compared them to all my other night sights and they are superior, which was surprising.

Red dot will be here Monday, so not sure if I'll take it to the range for a shakedown session or not over the weekend. Still out $90 for the frame, and around $100 more in extra parts I didn't need, but will be nice to have on hand anyway.

Stopped by the gravel pit before work today to see how it did. Love the new sights! Pistol is accurate. But there were some teething issues.

Hoping a good cleaning and a couple of hundred rounds will get it to stop hiccuping. Full mag, rapid fire, flawless. 5 rounds in mag, slow fire for groups, 4th round hiccups.

Made a video in which I talked about the mods and showed some range time. Then I talked about my book on Amazon, since sales have slowed, lol.

Targets when done...

Went back to the range today and did a thorough cleaning and lubing of the pistol. Also replaced the Lone Wolf Distributor stainless steel guide rod assembly with a cheap Aim Surplus plastic copy of the OEM assembly. Pistol ran flawlessly and showed a preference for the standard OEM barrel.

Red dot arrives tomorrow, so will get it installed, crank out some more reloads, and see what it can do for groups.
