P89 mods

I was wondering if I can remove the safety on a Ruger P89 and replace it with a decocker lever and make it a decocker only model.
The gun is a P89 special edition.

You would need to replace the complete slide with one from a P89DC. They turn up on Gunbroker pretty often as parts kits without the frame.
