Anybody know of a place close over the NJ/PA border that is nice and wide open where you can go to do some shooting? I refuse to pay for ranges around my area that don't let you bring in guests, or shoot at anything but paper at certain distances, no rapid fire, no combat shooting, etc. Would like to find a nice deserted area where I can just go and relax and shoot for a while. If anyone knows any good spots and wouldn't mind sharing I'd be much obliged. :)

NO! In fact I suggest that if you try anything like that anywhere in Pa you run the risk of having a long conversation with a law enforcement officer. There are free ranges on some game lands, but they require shooting at paper targets and usually limit speed and number of rounds fired. If you go off into the woods, on state lands, you will attract a game warden and if on private property you will be tresspassing. Compared to NJ we are a shooters and gun owners paradise, but we do have to behave ourselves. Sounds like you need to move farther west.

Too bad your not on the Ohio/ PA side then you could come to my gun club.
400 meter range / anything that fires allowed except class 3. We have a seperate range for those. We offer combat shoots for pistol and rifle. Trap skeet/ 4 pistol ranges, sporting clays and paint ball.
You don't even have to be a member to shoot there, it is open to the public.

See something like that is EXACTLY what we need around my way, but nooooooo that's too much to ask apparently! :fire:

Water & Wings in East Greenville, PA does have a 500 yard rifle range, and will let you shoot rapid fire. No full auto anymore, though. :( You're limited to paper targets, and you either have to have a membership, or pay $20 per day + get the 5th day free.

ALS, you are my hero, Ive been looking for somewhere better than the state gamelands public ranges since I moved here from NM a few months ago and according to mapquest the greater pbgh gun club is only 12 miles from where I now live. Thank you very much
