Attention to all PA residents. I got an alert from Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association. A brief summary: Pennsylvania House Representative Samuel Rohrer from the 130th district in Berks County is on our side. He's started a petition to show PA residents oppose the recent gun grabbing legislation introduced to our state house. Because this is coming from a Pennsylvania House Representative it is believed it will carry weight.
If you live in PA and believe in the Bill of Rights, please sign it here: petition

Below is the full text of the alert:
Howdy Pennsylvania Firearm Owners,

In our last alert we let you all know about a host of misguided,
pointless, and generally bad bills up for consideration in the Pennsylvania
House of Representatives. Now it shouldn't come as a surprise that we
here at the Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association think that laws
creating complicated registration schemes, banning commonly used
semi-automatic rifles, and other such nonsense are terrible, but have we got a
surprise for you!

So does Pennsylvania House Representative Samuel Rohrer from the 130th
district in Berks County. In fact he thinks they're such bad ideas that
he's put up a petition to collect names of people who agree so we can
all oppose these ridiculous bills that serve only to make criminals out
of the good guys like you and me.

Now keep in mind, this isn't your average petition that no one will
read, this is a serious petition created by one of our elected officials
in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives!

You can read Mr. Rohrer's full press release regarding the petition
here:

http://gw_pahouseit_district128.psinternal.net/mail/util.cfm?gpiv=1999954525.25711.76&gen=1

Now, there are two ways to sign this petition:

Your first option is to visit his district office located at:

29 Village Center Drive
Suite A7
Reading, PA 19607
(610) 775-5130

Or, you can sign it online at:

http://www.reprohrer.com/?sectionid=73§iontree=73

We strongly urge everyone reading this alert to sign the petition one
way or another. If you live nearby it may be worth it to head over and
sign it in person. We have a chance to show our elected officials that
we are a serious voting block and that we will not stand for having our
rights questioned and infringed from every angle.

After you've signed this petition we also urge you to forward this
information to everyone you know who cares about the right to keep and bear
arms. Post it on other Internet discussion boards, email it to your
friends, family, and co-workers who support safe, responsible firearm
ownership. It is very important we get as many people as possible signing
this petition!

Lastly, regardless of whether you live in Mr. Rohrer's district or not,
I would encourage everyone to write him a letter or make a phone call
to his office and thank for him standing up and calling these bills out
for what they are, and defending firearm owners state wide. It's just
as important to voice our opinions in support of good action, as it is
to voice our opinions against bad ones. Letting Mr. Rohrer know that we
appreciate his support and straight talk will encourage him to keep it
going and provide another voice in support of our rights against the
onslaught of the politicians who want to take them away.

His main office address and phone number is:

45 East Wing
PO Box 202128
Harrisburg, PA 17120-2128
(717) 787-8550

Until next time,

Daniel Pehrson
Founder & President
Pennsylvania Firearm Owners Association

I signed the petition online, lets keep this up near the top of the L&P section, check in if you have signed!

I sent the email to my mom and dad and they signed it as well.

I am surprised that there are not more replies to this thread from people who have signed the petition :(

I signed it, my wife signed it, and as soon as my daughter shows up, she can sign it too.

Edit in: Daughter #2 signed. #1 is out of state, and #3 is too young. I am going to write some letters on this too.

I printed and signed the petition, now I’ll get the rest of the family and my boss to sign.

I also intend to take copies to the local gun store and ask the owner to have all the customers sign.

They won’t make me pay $10 or even $.10 a year for my constitutional rights!

P.S.

I’ve only been allowed to “exercise” my rights (Just turned 18) for a few months…

Signed. $10 per gun, per year? That'll put an end to Philly's problems!

Check my sig

One more thing. All of you PA residents might want to check the link in my sig line. It's for the organization that gave me that alert. They have a much smaller forum, too albiet not nearly as active as this one or TFL. You should really join there (currently free) if for nothing else, just so you can get those kind of alerts and add to their size. The bigger they get, the more weight they may have when they send reps to township and district meetings.
The organization seems very young, and I have a feeling that if it grows like it should it could be to PA what the NRA is to the US.

Saw this at thefiringline.com . Signed petition too. Have also been in touch with my state rep and senator in opposition to the proposal, HB 760

All:

Signing the petition is fine, as such action could be helpful. Do not forget to contact your own state reps. and senator too, as legislation does at times display a strange "mobility".

I signed it

Not relishing the thought of fingerprinting requirements to hunt (which I don't) or protect my family (which I do) I signed it.
