Pacific tang sight missing aperture

I picked up a sporterized M1917 (manf date August 1918) with the Pacific micrometer tang sight on the rear. The only problem, it is missing the aperture. Will another manufacturer's aperture thread into this? Thanks!

The sight is exactly the same as this one.

U.S. made aperatures come in three thread sizes & short & long shank.
