I have a savage axis rifle I decided to paint the stock on to look cool a few years ago but would like to sell it now and I'm sure no one wants a grey stock with silver spider webbing.

how do I go about getting this paint off? its got a layer of primer, paint, primer, paint.

If you have a pressure washer it may knock it off, depending on how much you scuffed the stock before painting...Honestly though,I think most folks would just as soon have the stock painted like it is.

A citrus based paint remover remove the paint very nicely and does not hurt the stock that's what I've used on mine

Sell it as is. It is a $250 rifle; nothing you do to it is going to have enough of an effect on value to be worth the effort. If the next guy doesn't like your colors he can buy a can of Krylon in a color he likes.

I sold my crappy plastic savage axis stock on eBay for like 60 bucks a few years back. It had a not so good digital camo DIY camo paint job and a hole in the stock wear I filled with epoxy to give it some weight. People will buy this stuff just make sure you are accurate in your description as not to make people upset.

I've had gander and another shop tell me they wont buy custom stuff. I might just shoot it black and see what happens. I have a heavy barrel version of the same rifle and don't see the need for 2 of the same gun, same caliber so figured flip it for $150 or so and put that on some bills.

What caliber? Id be interested if your only wanting $150. And you can leave the stock alone
