I ordered a PSA 8.5" 5.56 upper with melonite barrel and M-Lok handguard and a PSA 10.5" 5.56 A2 upper with phosphate chrome-lined barrel. I will probably take off the A2 sight and throw a rail (either pic or M-Lok) on it. At $229 and $319 respectively, I couldn't pass these deals up. I was looking at the Adams Arms Tactical Elite 7.5" piston upper, but they are $700 and I figured that at $229 and an extra inch of barrel, I could live with the PSA 8.5" direct impingement upper. Does anyone have these PSA uppers and can speak to their performance? Thanks.

I don't have those particular uppers but I've built PSA AR's before and they are pretty good for the price. They shoot and don't have issues. Only problem I've seen is buying one of their NiB BCG's by itself, it had problems but that could have been a fluke.
