Just got my third silencer. 7.5mo exactly between check cashed and approved and the check was cashed within 72 days of arrival of the form. Pretty much came a week before two others send almost 5 weeks before.

I think they are starting to dig out.

Mine is the second to the last dot (on the high end of the current trend).

Your chart makes me glad I had mine e-filed!

I'd love it if someone could explain the outlying dots to me… how are some people following the same procedures that the rest of are, and somehow getting their tax stamps back MUCH faster than the rest of us?

I suspect the extreme outliers are "user error".
People putting in Form 3s intead of 1s and 4s, etc. Some appear to be eForms not identified as eForms.

Well, I'm glad to hear that paper is getting faster… I just found out yesterday that my form never made it through electronically before the latest crash of the e-form site. As such, if the site doesn't come back online again soon, I'll be forced to send my form in by snail mail.

Boy!, I sure hope so. I'm estimating I'm about a year away from getting my grubby hands on the M11 I "own".:(

Ironic, just put a holding deposit on one myself. Although we are waiting to do the paperwork until efile is back. If its not back withing a month or so, I'll settle with 9-12 month snail mail.

Sounds like you're facing the same dilemma that I am at the moment: wait and hope that the e-file option comes back in a reasonable amount of time, and still works "fast(er)". OR, file the paper forms and wait FOREVER for the Form 4 to clear.

The worst case scenario for me could end up being the one that plays out, unfortunately (and the same is probably true for you): wait for a while for the e-file system to come back up, then file the paperwork later when it doesn't, then wait an insane amount of time on top of the insane amount of time you've already waited while the ATF has tried to fix their poor software program.

Yeah, and to further complicate the matter, I file on a Trust, so what's going to happen if they ever get around to addressing that proposed rule change before my Form 4 sees the light of day on the BATF agent's desk?

Plodder, you are in the same boat as me! And, you raise another valid point I'm a bit concerned about.

My thought at the moment is to give this a week (maybe two), and then send it in via the paper process… at least then I'll probably be okay, since it will already be in the works if things get changed on the trust issue.
