Ran up on an ad for a Para-Ordinance .45 cal. 1911- styled bottom feeder described as a model 1911-A1, NIB, with 3 magazines and two boxes of ammo. I spoke to the guy last night, and I can buy the pistol for $450. This is a local, FTF, cash deal.
Good deal, bad deal, POS gun? Guys, help me out!

There is probably a reason why he is selling it so cheap. I would take that into consideration. With that said, I absolutely love my Para Ord. p14.45 Gun Rights model. but i bought it NIB at a gunshop. I would ask to test fire it first, maybe you could meet at the range and offer to bring your own ammo or something. If it functions and shoots great, like mine does, I would buy it in a heartbeat!

Have a

p13-45. It shoots great. Had a problem with jams, but that was magazine related. A new magazine fixed it.
Good luck.

That's why I needed some advice, I'm not a 1911 person, don't really know what the criteria is for one. It is advertised as NIB, unless it's a factory lemon, should be O.K.. But then, maybe someone has a horror story I need to hear.
