Well, I finally got to shoot quite a few rounds through my PDA, and let me tell you, I am:cuss: this thing. I had bout 50 rounds through it, and took it completely down, cleaned it and oiled it really good. Out of the first 50, I had about 15-20 FTF's, and FTE's. Soo, today I am shooting it, and put about 150 more through it, at least 3-5 out of each mag would either FTF, or FTE :banghead::fire:. I brought it home took it all apart again, and oiled it really well again. I loaded 2 mags up, and went 3 for 3 on the FTF/FTE, and then the extractor broke:mad:, so off to the dealer now and let him hash it out with PARA, they better get it fixed right, or my local dealer is gonna have a Para jammed down his throat, cause I was pretty set on a Springer EMP when he talked me into this Para:fire:...(note FTF= failed to feed, and FTE= failed to extract)

I've had a Para Carry 9 for a couple of years. From what I see they're about the same pistol. Bought mine used, it has been a very good pistol. The only trouble I've had was a certain brand of ammo (UMC) was allowing the firing pin to pierce the primers, causing bits of metal to accumulate around the pin and finally prevent firing. Para recommended a change of ammo, and that did the trick. No other issues at all with any other brand/type of ammo. The gun has been reliable and accurate. I also have a Carry 12 (.45) and have had good results with it, so my Para experiences have been good.

I also have a 9mm EMP, and really like it too.

Para 9mm LTC single stack

I own a Para LTC. I fired 700-800 rounds and I had a number of feeding problems. The gun used to jam on every fourth and fifth fire. Since Para offers lifetime warranty I sent my gun to them and got it back after 4 weeks.
A never had a jam after I got my gun back from Para period. And I am happy.:)

Para's magazines suck. Either send it back to Para so they can fix it or fix it yourself by getting a couple Wilson 47OX mags.

It is on its way back to PARA...everything, mags and all. Also, I went out to my local dealer, and tried his carry 9, come to find out PARA changed mags from the carry 9 to the pda:cuss:...I am really starting to get a bad taste in my mouth about Para, and am really getting more bummed by the day that I didn't go with the Springer EMP:banghead:

Oh, and I have tried winchester white box ammo, cci blazer, and cci brass, and umc, all the same results...

I had issues with my Para PDA 9mm as well. Seemed fine at the LGS, but once I got it home, I realized it would dry fire without pressing the grip safety. In fact, the grip safety wouldn't budge. Period. I took it back and the LGS replaced immediately with the last one they had in stock. I was actually quite surprised that they didn't blow me off and tell me to call Para Ordnance. Kudos to them.

Anyway, I had a few issues with the second PDA at the range. Maybe 1 in 50 rounds FTF. Re-racking the slide worked every time. My biggest complaint was that it just didn't feel right for me when shooting. But man oh man - she was sure a beauty. The fit and finish were awesome. And I liked the cool video they sent with it.

Sounds like they haven improved any. Mine was a 1 shot pistol with spare ammo stored in grip. Factory worked on it Was may be at best a 2 or 3 shot pistol with storage still in grip.
WOW you could have has a good Springer EMP and be shooting it. Tell dealer you want to trade for the springer . NOW He can sell other when it get back from trip. Iam sure it will make more than one.

Boy the more I stew on it, I am ready to end my relationship with Para, and just go get an EMP, but I think I am gonna give it 1 more chance.

Get decent magazines first. You can always use them for another compact 9mm 1911 such as the EMP.

I have had nothing but good results with Para. Even with factory magazines. Still though, I hear many sad tales about them recently. They must still be at least OK otherwise they would not be in business.

I swapped for a LNIB PDA 9mm a few months ago. I was a bit suspect of the gun because the deal was too good. But it looked great and I wanted a DA alternative to my EMP.
first time at the range was requal for my CHL. I took a Duke's mixture of ammo, mostly WWB. It ran like a train, almost a perfect score. got a lot of compliments on it too.
Mine works

Well it FINALLY came back today...The work order said "Replaced Extractor, both magazine springs, and both followers, polished throat and ramp, cycled 2 magazines 100%"...I have no doubt as they did that stuff, but I call Bull **** on the 100%, the 3rd round FTE, and every other one seemed to do the same, WWB, CCI Blazer, and CCI Brass. Although the CCI Brass seemed alittle better, just when I thought I might have the "bugs" worked out...then the :cuss: thing wouldn't shut:banghead:... After some more checking the slide would go forward just past the slide catch and hang up. I found that if I take a small screwdriver and push the extractor over, it will close...***...I realize that every mass produced gun has a lemon, but why are these a $1000 gun? I am not happy with Para, and they better just refund my $$$ and we will part ways, or I will be very bad for their business:fire:
