well, this saga starts about a year ago when i bought an Argentine Para FAL kit from FWRA on FALfiles.com. after a few months of waiting for all the damn US compliance parts to come in, i finally went to my gunsmith and had him order an Imbel GL receiver and i gave him all of the required parts. he said that he was back logged but since i was about to leave for on deployment to iraq, i told him that i wasn't in any big hurry. well, right before i got back i received an e-mail from my dad saying that my FAL was ready for pick-up as soon as i got home. y'all can imagine that i was like a kid on christmas when i finally got to the gunsmith and picked up my little beauty. unfortunately, i wasn't able to take it out to the range immediately. this past weekend i did get to take it out, and damn, what a piece of hardware! it shot flawlessly except the hammer pin walked out on me after the second mag. i found out that it wasn't engaging the pin catch on the inside of the lower receiver, but me being an idiot and not having any tools with me, i had to wait till i got home to hit it back into place. i went home and knocked the pin back in place, and i don't expect to have any more problems from it. well, without further delay, here are the pics.
