What are your thoughts regarding Para Ordinance' Carry 9?

1. Is it superior to Kahr's PM9? Is it more reliable? Is it thinner? Is it inherently safer? (Yes, I realize that the greatest safety device is between the ears...)

2. Is it carried with the hammer down or "cocked and locked"?

3. How would you compare it to a Springfield XD subcompact? (9mm)

4. Is it pocketable or IWB/OWB only?

great questions!
I've been thinking about the Carry 9 as my next purchse and my current is the XD9 sub-compact. I like the idea of being able to carry is chambered, yet still have a hammer down, double action trigger pull for the 1st

So any input would be greatly appreciated!

2. Is it carried with the hammer down or "cocked and locked"?
If it has the LDA trigger (forward-set, curved and pivoting instead of sliding, with a flush-fitting hammer and very short grip safety tang), it is a type of DAO action and the hammer is always down.

The Carry 9 has the LDA trigger. It is kind of like a double action but not really. It has a long but light pull but the slide has to be racked like a striker fired gun to cock it. The hammer stays down until the trigger is pulled. All in all it is a nice gun and makes for a great pocket or purse carry as it has the 1911 thumb and grip safety. I like mine and find it to be a very accurate gun for having a 3 inch barrel. Michael Bane at Down Range TV really likes it. Here's a link to his video on it and the LDA trigger system: http://www.downrange.tv/videos/para1911.htm
