I think that the market will always be there for snubbies, but the days of getting 1000 dollars for a clean "not even spectacular" 38 snub are over, peoople bought them back when I started carrying in the 60's and 70's for a reason, "they were the smallest thing you could get with power", now the choices are so varied, I would feel limited with 5 rounds. And I don't believe in carrying 3, 17 round mags either, but 5 is too little in my opinion, and there are so many better choices for a bug, that the only reason to own them is because you just like the way they look, not relly effective for your only carry weapon. Not with gangs roaming around with several armed men.
I stll enjoy shooting them. And perhaps a 327 or 357, with 6 rounds would be decent as a backup if you got a titanium 15 oz gun. But it is all relative to what you feel comfortable with.
