Just passin through!
Hi all, While cleaning my DW PMA-S earlier this week I noticed that one of the stock bushings was missing half of the upper part. The stock screws still screw in tight but I'd like to replace the bushing before it becomes an issue. Cocobolo grips/stock. I was wondering how to go about removing and replacing the bushings. Is there a special tool? They appear to have a slot like you could use a screwdriver to turn them but I don't want to take a chance and break any more. thanks all.....mack

Brownell's search on bushing not wrench

You can buy a bit for one of the magna driver sets or as you see fit.

Some pistols use Loctite - many people use a soldering iron or other local heat to degrade the bond and reapply for each use. Some are staked, some may be both. You may want to look at staking tools when you look at the driver tools.

If it's already missing half of the upper part, a bushing driver may not be of much use. The support the upper part so you don't strip out the slot and break half of the upper part away. If you have enough of the slot to use a screwdriver, you can try that. The bushing is shot anyway so you just have to be careful not to nick the frame or strip the threads. If you don't have enough grip for a screwdriver, vice grips work well but don't torque it sideways.
