Texas, baby!
they have a couple things of interest that I saw; a pretty nice old marlin 81, tube fed, drill/tapped on the back left side, but no peeper. 140 bucks for it, but I bet it can be had for less. Also a rarity, a H/R semi auto, 22 mag, mag fed, in fantastic condition. This is one of the top 5 best 22 mag semi auto's ever made, so if you are looking for one, here it is. price marked is 485, but I bet he got it from someone who didn't know the value, I would offer the guy 400.
lastly , my friend leo, has got a few ar's that he has built for him, all are between 600 and 650 , before tax. They are pretty decent, built by S. texas Armory, they use Esential Arms lowers, gas key is properly staked, and they are in a2, or m4 config, also bbls are either Wilson bbls, or Green mountain. some are heavy bbl, some are govt. profile, the a2's have a full stock, the m4 types use a collapsable.

Also the Houston, George R brown show is next weekend....

I went this afternoon. Wasn't much to write home about. I wanted to pick up some decent .223 soft points in bulk and was thinking about a GSG-5 they had neither. Was a little dissapointing, although I did pick up a second 6 rd clip for my PM9.

Went to one some years ago there, small. Drove all that way and it wasn't much bigger than the one in Victoria, LOL But, gas was relatively cheap, then. I still recall, though, a .357 blackhawk there for $135, blued, nice lookin', 4 5/8" barrel. I had spent my money on Contender stuff, can't recall what, a barrel, think it might have been my .22LR barrel. Anyway, I didn't have 135 left.

I went and was disappointed.

Cheapest Hi-Point C380: $140 ($5 over MSRP)
Lack of surplus junk. Couldn't find Mosin cleaning kits or strippers.
High prices on surplus ammo from the dealers who were there.
None of the big dealers had any NIB CZs at all, let alone the specific one I came for.
Found at least one thing I was looking for, at least.

i skipped this one, i usually hit about every third or fourth pasadena show. the gr brown shows are a joke, same stuff as the pasadena show but you have to pay to park & walk a lot farther.
at least with the shows at the expo center they have enough stuff that you don't mind paying the extra parking fees.

yeah, they all show up again, but there is about 4 times the dealers there. Plus a lot more of the new firearms/rifle dealers as well. Am waiting on the kel tec plr 22 pistol, with the 27 round mag, and also anyone who will come out first with the new 5 mm mag rimfire rifle. Will it be cz or Savage???
