Well yesterday while sitting in a sales meeting I googled Pawn Shops near me. Lo and behold, there was one right down the road and on my way home! So to make the long drive home seem shorter, I popped in and walked out with 2 beauties. 6” Model 586 no dash. Almost new with hardly a turn line. 4” Model 66-1. Not as nice but still nicer than most I run across. Didn’t steal them but at $1150 OTD it was a very fair deal. Well, I did keep my promise for a week.

Good Job! You get a Bravo Zulu atta boy for that one. That 6" sure looks good!

Nice find! Looks like I need to start hitting up Pawn Shops.

I hit Pawn Shops frequently. I travel for work so it gives me a little advantage. Thankfully most of my travel is in another state or I'd be broke all the time!! I like the small mom and pop size Pawn Shops. To get a real deal, you normally have to deal with the owner. The larger shops usually have a manager who has to keep the margins at a certain level so it is harder to find a steal. I buy a lot of guns at Pawn Shops. Flip some and keep some. Don't always get a deal, and pay top dollar but I have better luck even finding revolvers at Pawn Shops than I do a Gun Shops. I also like the smaller Gun Shows. One of my best finds came recently at a really small gun show. It was pouring down rain. The parking lot was a mud pit and when I sloshed in, there was less than 50 tables in the entire metal building that was occupied by about 20 vendors. Walked out with a Pre Model 27 with a 3.5" Barrel! You never know what you might find. I pull a lot of doors open and walk away with nothing, but I guess I find enough to make me keep going back.

Great idea for a TV show!
Yeah yeah, title "Pawn Shop Rescues" springing guns on the run!

I really like that M586. I'm not really looking for another .357 Magnum but if I was a M586 for sale it would come home with me too.

Unfortunately here in Pa, no guns are allowed for sale in pawn shops.

Nice revolvers! I am envious. Where I lived and where I live now the guns found at pawn shops are in horrible shape and the pawn broker does nothing to clean them up except for the installation of brand new price tags that have ridiculous prices on them.
