I've been hearing about Pawn Shop deals sometimes found. Do shops in the various New England states sell firearms?

I haven't been in many, but have not seen any guns in the ones I've tried in MA or NH.

The only deal I've ever seen in a pawn shop was the time of day, which was only $.50 after a bit of haggling.

    Chipperman,

There's a VERY small pawn shop in Sanford, ME, called York County Trading Company. It's on Rte. 109, near the Sanford Airport, about 10 miles west of exit 2 (Wells) / I-95 - Maine Turnpike.

They don't carry too many firearms, but the few times I've been there they've had a few worth a look. I bought a Swedish M1938 Mauser from them for $50 IIRC. The rifle had a hand made stock, with disc put back in place. The rifle is in excellent condition too.

If you're really looking for a good gun shop in the New England area, you have to check out Kittery Trading Post, if you haven't already. They have one of the largest selections of new and used guns I've ever seen, and that's just what's on display.

Another vote for Kittery Trading Post. It's the best gunshop I've been to in NE.

Allstead Gun Shop in Allstead, NH is pretty good.
