Hey guys,

So we all have gotten, or will be getting, our taxes back. Best time of the year for gun-buying, because the government gives us back some of the money we paid them. But buying a gun isn't always on everybody's mind, and it wasn't on mine.

My taxes went to paying off fines for some pretty stupid driving last year. But I had some money left over and didn't have any plans but buy cigarettes of something. But then I get a call from a buddy I haven't talked to in a while, around noon yesterday. We talked for a little while and he asked me where he could sell his pistol. I asked him what kind it was and he said it was a Glock .40 cal.

And here's the shocker, he said he wanted at least $175 for it so he could make his truck payment, so I told him I would buy it. Yup. I have a $175, Gen 4 Glock 22. He had everything in box, LNIB. He only had 6 mags through it and got bored with it. I'll post pics after while.

How'd I do?

Well, I got one a month ago using the LEO discount for $415 if that tells you anything. For non LEOs it is around $550 I think.
You did real good.

He must not be that good of a friend. :neener: You stole it. He was in need and you took advantage. Better you than a pawn shop though!

I thought I robbed him too, I asked him if he was sure he wanted to sell it for that much but he said he was sure. Told him he has a few free repairs on his truck to make up the difference.

Someone already offered me $300, lol. I think I'll just keep it as my defense side-arm. When he said it was a Glock, and how cheap it was, I had to jump on it... My Astra, though having issues with week mag springs, was my only reasonable defense (shotgun is missing a vital screw) and now I can safely retire the Astra until I can find some replacement springs....

Anyway, here are the pics:

Wow....What a steal.And hear i thought i had a good deal for a glock 23 for $325.Nice job!

I guess you really don't like the guy. I'm also wondering how someone that would sell it that cheap had the mental capacity to fill out the paper work in order to get the gun in the first place.

You done good, if you're into Glocks that is.

Nice find!

The full sized Glocks like my Gen 3 G31 are too big and heavy for me to carry these
Days, but I look forward to picking up a Gen 4 G32 later this year!

Enjoy that G22 but do think of trying a .357 SIG barrel in it soon.

For a price like that you should be his friend...for life!

Seriously you owe him big time for that kind of deal.
