Is there any peep iron sights that can be mounted on a Lee-Enfield 2A Ishapore 7.52x51 rifle?

There was a seller on ebay that made a simple peep sight that replaced the factory notch rear sight. For the $10 or $15 it cost I thought it was a nice upgrade.
MoJO sight systems has them for the SMLE, and will fit the Ishapore 2A.

Just MO, but if you want to have the full range of advantages offered by a receiver "peep" sight, putting an aperture-type replacement way out there where the original open iron was isn't the way to get it.
Both Williams and Lyman list true receiver sight models for the SMLEs, both No.1 and No.4 types. The Ishapore 2A/2A1 should be able to accept the model for the No.1 Mk.III. FWIW, the only real difference between a 2A and a 2A1 is the rear sight. 2As had the same one as the earlier "India Pattern" No. 1 Mk. III, and the 2A1 has one calibrated for 7.62x51 ammo and has graduations out to 'only' 800 yrds.
Installation will require having two holes located, drilled and tapped in your receiver. Around here, that runs about $20-25 per hole. In some cases a new, taller front sight may also be necessary. But your sight radius will be nearly doubled and that generally aids in delivering your hits precisely a great deal.
The only outfit that I know of still offering a 'no gunsmithing' receiver mount for scopes/optical sights specifically for the Ishapore 2A/2A1 is B-Square. The cost (less that of a decent scope) is roughly comparable to the cost of a new receiver sight and the gunsmithing work: ca. $95.00 with S&H.

Parker Hale, Rawson and Central sights are commonly found over on ebay, but the price is dear. I searched there for a year and never saw a nice peep sell for less than $200. That being said, they are the the best peep sights on the market for a SMLE.
S&K makes a scope mount for the Ishy .308 that does not require tapping your receiver. If anyone is interested in buying my old one, PM me!

Lyman/Central hybrid made by a fellow Enfield collector friend for my chronologically gifted eyesight so I could shoot the SMLE.

My eyes are 68. And I really like the Mojo sights I have on my Yugo and Swede Mausers. I can do 2" groups at 100 yards with them, which is quite a bit better than I can do with conventional sights. It's amazing how good the human eye is at centering the target within the front aperture and the front aperture within the rear aperture. As the Mojo folks told me, "It's kind of a Zen experience."
I have a good Williams micrometer peep sight on my bolt action 30-30, and like it. But not as much as I like to Mojos with front and rear apertures.
My SKS has the Mojo aperture rear sight and the standard issue front sight. That arrangement is pretty similar to the Williams peep, and I think I like the Williams peep maybe a little bit better than that.
