OK there is a lot I don't know so I just ask...I have a friend who lives in Mississippi...he claims that they(the state) have different levels of permits for civilians...that you can take an advanced class and upon completion ...you can then carry your firearm into any restricted building..like Post Office banks etc has anyone else heard of any thing like this thanks

To be honest I don't know Mississippi and am not a lawyer so I won't even try to answer about Mississippi restricted places, however I will so that nothing Mississippi issues will cover you in places on the Federal restricted list.

Oddly, MS DOES indeed issue an "enhanced" permit that lets you carry in more places than their regular permit. Strange but true!

However, the language about places off-limits federally simply means that MS itself will not prosecute you for carrying there. It IS still illegal to do so and the federal penalties are very harsh.
