Guys I see alot of questions pertaining to when is it ok to use my gun for protection. I suggest you read:
In the Gravest Extreme Role of the Firearm in Personal Protection, by Massad F. Ayoob
During an NRA pistol course I took the instructor suggested that this book answers alot of the what if's. It's not an end all but it goes a long way into explaining the legal view of using deadly force, you still need to be aware of the laws of your state but this book gives great insight.
