I think it's actually on the order of 10 hours... How good the course is for you depends on your willingness to learn, and to some extent, your ability to safely and accurately fire a pistol. Among the topics covered are cover & concealment, mindset, levels of alertness, aspects of making your home less of a target, legal aspects of self defense, flash sight picture, point shooting, shooting from behind cover, and much more... If you're an experienced shooter, are safe and accurate, you could fit right in this one, but if you're a newbie, then I'd suggest Basic Pistol 1st...
