Anyone out there care to share any good loads for the saiga 308? I've got a new one now and haven't shot it yet. I am planning to try some loads I made last week . Nosler 125 gr Ballistic Tip with 43 grains of Hodgdon Benchmark. Rem brass, CCI BR primer. SAAMI max length.
Can't speak for this load yet but I wanted essentially a souped up 7.62X39 figuratively speaking.
Any other good loads or factory ammo you have tried (accuracy wise)?

I have not had a chance to work up loads for my S308 yet. In the reading I have done on the matter many people have reported their best results coming from heavier bullet weights.

Let us know how your loads do though. I'd be interested to hear.

I tested several economy brands/loads of ammo for my Saiga .308 It did prefer heavier bullets. I would up stocking up on PRVI 168gr HPBT
I think I got 500 rounds of it for $.68 per round.

Do you find the Rem bullets to be consistently uniform? I have always stuck to the bullet makers who specialize in bullets like Hornady and Nosler.
