For the first time this year I shot some clays with the family and the results weren't good. Shooting results were acceptable but the pain results weren't. I'm shooting the Stoeger M3020 with a Pachmayr recoil pad and have been very happy with it's performance.
In the last 2 years I've developed pain in my shoulder and neck that has become increasingly difficult to deal with. I've seen a surgeon about my shoulder but was told to get my neck fixed first so I see the surgeon for that on Thursday. Sounds like rehab is going to take some time so checking options now.
My Question is what is available for a semi-auto 20ga with the least recoil. From what I'm reading a gas operated gun is the way to go. I'm 71 and want to continue shooting with the family. Thinking of something new in the $500 to $700 range and prefer wood trim.
Thanks for any insight you can offer.
P.S.
Is the TriStar Viper G2, Mossberg SA20, and the Weatherby sa-08 the same gun?
