This poll is flawed because the OP didn't mention what the purpose of the firearm is. I'd pick the Dan Wesson if I were concealed carrying it or using it as a shooter. But as a beater woods gun or backup hunting gun, the Glock is a better choice for sure.
 
I’d take a Dan Wesson in 10mm over a glock in 10mm 6 days out of the week, the other day out of the week I’d take the G40 mos. If carry is the primary function of said gun the glock makes sense and 15+1 rounds of 10mm is impossible to argue with
 
Glock 40. I already have a G20. The Glock is going to have less felt recoil with full power loads than a 1911 in 10mm, or even, in my experience, some 1911s in .45 ACP. The Glock is lighter, has better capacity, and will be easier to service or modify. It also has the ability to quickly mount a miniature red dot or reflex with the MOS system, and the ability to mount a white light or laser as your needs require. It is also probably going to be several hundred dollars cheaper than the 1911s.
