So for the past year I have had 4 brand spankin new Glock 19 Hi Cap mags in the box, as well as a Tagua quick draw belt holster new in the bag. The only problem was, I had no Glock 19. So I decided to remedy this issue by purchasing a Glock 19 RTF2. I pushed off the standard sights, and slipped on some Trijicons. Its my 4th 19 that Ive owned over the years, and I have to say, the RTF is the most visually appealing to my eye. Nothing turns me off of a gun more that dramatic grip designs. This was my main complaint with the new XDm series. The RTF's stippling is subtle and un-noticable to the eye, making for a overall clean appearance. Holding it is a different story all together, here the stippling is noticable. Very comfy, with no slip. Glock was right on here in my opinion. Side note: I had the chance to go in on the new Gen 4 19, but I feel the old design is the most proven. Allthough nothing may be wrong with the Gen 4, It was more or less me being quirky.

First range report.

Everything was as expected. 200 rounds, Winchester WB, 115gr FMJ, I experienced no failures of any kind. After adjusting the drift of the new Trijicons, accuracy was exceptional. Recoil, unnoticable, pointability above average. All in all, great little package. Filled her up with 16 PDX1's and were ready to go. Side note: It caries much better IWB than my P250. Looks like I have a new tuck n go, now she just needs a name, will post when I give her one.

I expected nothing less Guillermo. They're great guns. The RTF was just tempting eye candy for far too long. If they ever remedy those Battlestar Galactica grips on the XDm Ill snag one too. Im Pistol crazy right now....The Stoeger Cougar would look nice with some Kingwood Checkered grips as well!

I have a "regular" XD45 and am very pleased with it.

My focus is on buying wheelguns right now. My thought process is that revolvers are getting worse every year and pistols are improving.

So I am buying all of the old Smiths and Colt double actions and then will focus on "bottom-feeding brass-chuckers".

Really enjoyed my second gen model 19 while I had it.

And I love it when a gun guy gets what he wants.

Shoot straight...shoot often

At my heart I am a wood and steel man. I love old sporting rifles, Mausers, etc. I have also always had an affinity for Colt revolvers. To me the most well balanced, and beautiful revolver ever built was the Colt Python.
