Got the final gun on my bucket list today.
I came across this on Gun Broker and won it at a good price. (2470 total) Picked up 100 rounds. (250) and a lazer cartridge to sight in.
AMAC 1500 Ultimate Accuracy, early production Jax, AK.

Nice! Haven't seen one of those before. Hope it shoots well and doesn't give you problems. I need to save up for a 50 BMG.

It looks nice, but pretty light. (fluted barrel on a BMG?!)

Have you ever shot one before? They are pretty brutal, and the lighter they are, the worse they are.

I have and with a good muzzle brake the recoil of a 50 BMG is like shooting a 308 win. so no biggie.

How do you load it? Do you have to remove the bolt from the rifle before you can fit a round in there?

Looks very nice, congrats! Wish I could shoot a .50.

Edit: Did you add the scope? What is it?

Very nice! I'm sure you'll enjoy it immensely.

Don't let the folks intimidate you, recoil is not bad on any of the .50's. I can tolerate the recoil on mine (L.A.R.) all day but the concussion upon firing may get to you in short order. Ours cleared benches of stuff on either side of our shooting station....camera, shooting bag, etc.

It appears yours is a shell-holder design too. Good shooting and let us know how it goes!

Single shot bolt action? Start saving for the shoulder surgery and hearing aids! :)
You clearly have never shot a 50BMG.

As someone else has already stated...with a good muzzle brake the 50BMG is easy on the shoulder. I had a Noreen and I can say that the brake they used was amazing. The recoil felt like shooting my .243.

The 50BMG is an amazing weapon....I sold mine due to weight...the thing was just way too heavy for what I wanted...and I purchased a 338LM, so I couldn't afford to feed both calibers.

Being able to buy/shoot API ammo is nice.

How much did that doggie in the window cost you rogertc1? And is that a single shot or what?

Yeah tme 50s and the cheytac m200 are heavy guns. I holded a barret m82A with scope at a gun shop once. Way to heavy. Those guns are only good for shooting while you are prone or have it on a table because of there weight. I actually like 338 lapua rifles but the rounds costs to much. This one guy I chat with online builds his own ammo for 1.75 a round for 338 lapua. I'd rather have a 308 win rifle. That's high enough for ammo for me.

Got 50BMG ammo off GB too. 100 rounds for $250 delivered... so $2.50 a round. Trying to win a couple more boxes then I am set. I don't reload or target shoot. Just wanted one for the fun factor.

39 lbs? Forget the hearing aids, a chiropractor is going to be a better investment. Lift with your legs!

I fired a Barret M107 in Afghanistan, it was a recoil operated semi auto. It felt like I was getting slapped in the face when I shot it, it cleared the sinuses.

Shop around a little bit more on internet.

50BMG ammo is available for less than $1.80 delivered.

Price is coming down slowly.

Thats one on my "bucket list " also,, ahve shot about 200-round thru old wood-stock POS i borrowed from ex-military pal,, just the fudge-me factor when you un-case that baby at the range is worht the money,, how come everybody moves to a different table when first shot-breaks ?? nobody wants to play with me !!! im 40+ years and re-coil dosent seem worse than some of the old 30-06 rifles my brother in law introduced me to as a kid.. but with a new BMG will come a re-loading set-up FOR sure !!
