Well guys, I picked up my new Mossberg 590a1 today. This gun has been built by Vang Comp systems. It features the Vang Comp System, Speed Feed stock, Magazine extension, Surefire forend, Tactical Sling, Ghost ring sights, 2 tone finish olive drab and black, and some trigger work. I may have left something out . These are not the best pics in the world, but I wanted to shot it off. I will take some better pics later. Let me know what you guys think. This is the part where I normally ask for suggestions on what to do next, but I really can't think of anything else. I intend to use Winchester Ranger 00 buck in the mag and keep Winchester 2.75" slugs in the Speed Feed stock. Thanks guys for any comments or suggestion Juan.

When you shoot it, take some pictures of the buckshot patterns at various distances and post them here. I'd be interested to see how it shoots.

That is one slick rig.

I didn't really give the Vang Comp System all that much consideration until one of the instructors whipped his VCS 870 out in skul.

The system produces exceptionally tight patterns. All of that lead charging towards it's target 25yds downrange within a first-sized diameter is definately groovy.

Just to reiterate Dave Williams' request, please take some pictures and post the patterns.

Vang does good work, and the 590 is a good 'base' gun for that work to be done to- you should be very happy with it. Hope you enjoy it!

Do experiment with some different loads, though- don't just arbitrarily fix on one brand. Find out what the gun likes, and feed it that.

I have Vang Comp System on my Rem 1187p and I'm very pleased with it. The friend I bought it from had only shot about 10 shells out of it before he had to get rid of it due to wanting other toys. It's a really sweet setup

Make sure you pattern that Ranger 00B out of your gun. I've shot Ranger out of 4 different 18" cyl and IC guns and it has patterned poorly out of all of them.

The speed feed stock is meant to keep four shells in the stock. There's actually two tubes, one on each side and they can carry two rounds each. It's just another way to carry extra ammunition with the gun. I've used one before and I found that it was a little difficult to jimmy out. That was/is my experience and your mileage may vary.

CalebM - I have a freind who know Hans Vang at Vang Comp. He got the gun at a good price a couple of months ago. My friend ran into money pronblems and asked me if I was intrested I said yes. And here it is It only has about 50 rnds through it. To all thank for the replies.
