This is a picture of my Colt Trooper Mark III. The trigger is great, and it shoots like a dream. If you have a Colt Mark III, I'd like to see a picture. (I also posted this in our sister forum.) BTW, I just recentlly purchased this gun.

Congrats on your purchase! That is a beautiful MKIII.

I have a number of COLT revolvers and love all of them, but I have not aquired any MKIII's. Some day I'll sneak up on the right one like you did.

Super guns. Congrats.

Not a MKIII, but an original Trooper .357 from 1969. One of the last 80 made before the switch to the MKIII, so it's not far off.

Here's a pic of my 3 Troopers. I've owned the MK3 the longest, bought it used for $100 in 1976 when I was in college.

Nice revolver. I have one just like it in 357. I was buying Troopers in 2000-2005. Their availablity has certainly decreased and the price has gone up. They were a tough sell in the 1990's. Too many Pythons and Diamondbacks around back then for affordable prices.

That's a beautiful Mk.III you've got there; congrats on your latest aquisition. I had a 4" version that was my first .357 I ever owned. Should have held on to it but somewhere down the line, I got the semi-auto itch and I traded it in on something (can't even remember for sure what it was that I got in that deal). Years later I had a 6" Mk.V but had to sell it to help pay for school. Anyways, enjoy your new Colt and thanks for sharing.

colt trooper 111

hey there bill nice revolver looks 90% cond.do you know what year it was made? I have one just like it ,a very well balanced and accurate piece, mine was made in 1978. I once had a colt python 6" 357 I had to sell it 3 years ago because of tough times ,I owned it for 27 years. I was pretty bummed for a while about selling it . I wont let this trooper go, I will take it to my grave or leave it to a family member that appreciates it.

Well, I was going to post a picture of my nickled 4inch Trooper III, but this site won't let me upload since the best picture I have has been posted in another thread.

So instead, let me say that you gents posting before me have some mighty nice Troopers. Don't think I'll be letting mine go before I die.

Big Bill--I have a Trooper that looks exactly like yours. Great gun, by the way. Enjoy!
