One fine Rifle

The one I will never sell and will pass on to my son, same as my father. Purchased new 1952 when he was 10. Given to me when I was 10 in 1982. Will be given to my son when he is 10 in 2016. More squirrels have been taken with this gun than I could count.

Grandpa's WW2 bring back M1 Carbine. Sadly he refinished the stock before he died, which he admited was probably a mistake. Its in pretty decent shape though considering my Grandfather wasn't big on maintenance and fought with it in the Pacific, he was also putting WW2 ammo through it every once in awhile until about 10 years ago. I still shoot it once in awhile.

But Grandpa did get a good one, its a low serial number Irwin Pedersen with a Rock Ola barrel, all IP parts of course since it was a bring back.

i cut my teeth on a targetmaster. even had to pick one up for myself later in life that my lil boys are now cutting their teeth on. what a sweet shooting rifle. among my longarms it's definitely one of my favorites.

Guys I gotta say just as a random comment, there are some really, really bad ass guns in this thread! Lots of people with great taste!

Lately my favorites are my .45 and my recently Duracoated AR. Just waiting for all the snow to melt so I can shoot some more.

POF 415 w/Magpul Back Up Sights (flip sights). This is one of the finest firearms I've ever laid hands on, and thats after 14 years in combat arms in the Army.

About 6 months back I asked some of you guys on this site for some advice and knowledge as this was going be my first firearm purchase and you guys proved to be very helpful. So this is it, my first firearm and I love it. Going tomorrow to pick up a front hand grip and a flashlight for it then off to the range. I intend to pick up a high quality sight for it, but probably looking at next year for that (wife will have a cow if I drop another $1k+ on it this year). Anyways, thanks again for your guys help in choosing the right weapon for me.
