I have an old Piggyback 2 (thought I had a 3 all this time, Doh!) that I just assembled as new straight out of the box. Got a deal, guy never set it up.
My indexer fails quickly. I replaced one bushing and it failed shortly also.
This is the model with the pendulum powder drop activator and I did read something in here in regards to that being the problem for the indexer. However, that was an pretty old thread. I have ordered a case activated powder drop linkage kit and am awaiting it's arrival as it has been stated as the solution. Does this allow the indexer to work proplerly then?
I'll spend the money on the linkage. Beyond that, if it takes too many more of these bushings , I'm dumping it for a dedicated progressive by summertime when the snowboard gets put away and the plinking steps up.
Is there an upgraded index system or did RCBS go all manual indexing? I can manually index, and have had to in order for proper function. I just assembled it this weekend and am not overly impressed, but when attentive, it works, kinda.
