Easy, buy an extra slide. Leave the Frame black and have one slide sent off to be duracoated. When you want to shoot youll shoot your Black/Black gun and when she wants to shoot itll be Pink/Black.

Well, once I convinced her there wasn't a particularly good way to turn a glock pink other than getting it painted, she made a compromise. We went and picked up a stock G19 and placed an order for one of these:

BTW I loved legos as a kid, I just love teasing the glock owners, not a dig at performance, reliablility, or looks.

Actually, the Glock is really her choice, too. Personally, I'd prefer a P99, but as so many of you have suggested, I'm just happy she's willing to participate. When I pick up my P3AT in a month or two I'll finally have a gun of my choice.

Without reading the whole thread, my wife observed that if a woman says; "Sure you can get me a gun, as long as it's PINK!!" probably doesn't realize that such a think is possible. She also wondered if it was a great idea. Imagine, she pulls on a BG who is attacking her, and he stops suddenly, "Is that a glow-in-the-dark GUN?!" What if he didn't believe it's real?

This story reminds me of Larry The Cable Guy explaining when his girlfriend wanted him to try some feminine underwear, and he said, "There's no way you're going to get me to wear those. So, I'm wearing them,..."

Well, it only takes a couple pulls of the trigger to convince him. . .

I was initially a little concerned that she wasn't treating the whole thing as seriously as she should. But after a weekend of using and handling the glock I'm fairly convinced she just wants to be safe AND stylish. So I guess all is right in the world
