Hey everybody,

I know I'm more likely to get lots of responses over at ARFCOM, and I've got an account over there, but I figured I'd try my luck here first before I step into my waders and roll over there.

A series of questions concerning building a .40 S&W AR carbine follow...

1. Does anybody but Olympic Arms make .40 S&W stuff?

2. Can Colt SMG mags be used in an Olympic Arms system and are there drop-in magwells that allow such (I'd want to use CProducts' new Colt mags, which I realize would take some fuddling with to work properly with .40)?

3. Can one install an olyarms-system barrel into any upper receiver (the ones listed on their websites are all A2 uppers, and I'd prefer a flat-top)?

4. Any information concerning companies that make Pistol Caliber AR parts, equipment, have information on builds, etc. would really be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

~GnSx

Rock River is supposed to be coming out with a .40 upper. According to info they posted on AR15.com, they had to tweak the mags a bit, but they are close to production. Try emailing them and see what they say.

I poked around some on ARFCOM and found a thread that the ARFCOM RRA guy had posted on. If he doesn't reply in that thread, I'll send him a PM or RRA an emai and post the response here, in case anybody looks up the same thing I was.

Thanks, DMK.
