Pistol caliber carbines

Which reminds me, I really don't understand why people even use the acronym FTE. That doesn't tell you very much, you don't even know what the E stands for. Same with FTF. You either have to type it out anyway (at least the last letter) or people won't know.

Considering he already has a Glock, it would be the natural choice to get a MechTech upper.

Only if he is willing to give up having the pistol when he wants the carbine, or has a pair of Glocks.

Not so sure how practical it really is, but the theory of a pistol and carbine sharing the same ammo has been attractive since the days of the .44-40 revolver and lever action. Using the same mags ups it a notch.

Ran about 360 rounds of various ammo using 14 different Glock mags (Korean and genuine) through the QC10 AR pistol with SB-15 Gen II and it was flawless, except for the bolt hold open feature -- there is just too much mechanical disadvantage of the lever that actives the AR BHO for the magazine spring to overcome. This is my only complaint about the QC10 lower -- you are paying for feature that won't likely work once your mag springs have "taken a set" from normal usage. Its much easier to hit an 8" plate at ~100 yards with the AR braced pistol than it is with a Glock 17 !!!

I just picked up a Sub 2000 in 9mm and find it to be small and light in weight.
Looking at it when it's folded and the 31 (33) round capacity mag next to it, it's hard to believe how much firepower is there. To unfold, slap in the mag and nudge the bolt (if kept locked back), it's quick into action too.
I like it.

Hahaha, sorry...PPC got stuck in my brain somehow!:banghead: I mean PPC. Sometimes my fingers work faster than my brain!:uhoh::D

Now if I could carry a PPC from the Mechwarrior game, that would be a great weapon! Not so great if you use it indoors though, probably won't have much house left!:D

That's why I've never understood the attraction of the Mech Techs. You have to disable your pistol to make them work.
