Pistol Grip for ARs?

What's the most comfortable AR pistol grip you've encountered? My DPMS is entirely stock, so it has the standard AR grip with the single finger groove between the middle and ring fingers. I've noticed quite a number of different types of grips from many different manufacturers, like Tango Down, Hogue, CAA, Wilson, etc.

I saw the Hogue's fitted on an RRA DEA model AR and they look comfortable as hell. I have the CAA pistol grip for the AK, and I have to say that it's by far the most comfortable grip I've ever found, more so than the SAW-type grips. But that's for the AK. They do make the same grip for the AR, too, but I don't know if it has the same grip angle or if it keeps the traditional angle.

Anyway, what do you guys use that you've found to have worked for you?

The Hogues and Ergos work for me. Can never decide which I like better.

Magpul MIAD. Hard to beat, since it is modular, you can switch out the panels to fit your hand.

I bought the MIAD for my buddy for his birthday. It has three backstraps and two front straps, plus two different trigger guards. You can more or less custom fit it to YOUR hand.

Another vote for the MIAD. With the variety of front and back straps available, the pistol grip can really be dialed in to your hand.

I use a Magpul MIAD with the proper inserts to fit my hand, and I slapped on a Hogue Handall slip-on rubber fingergroove grip sleeve over it.

The MIAD has the nice little bonus (on top of the swappable inserts for hand fitting) of having a swappable core on the bottom of the grip for storage of AA/AAA or 123 batteries, three extra rounds, or a bolt/firing pin assembly.

I am a big fan of the Sierra Precision Rifle grip. I like the pad to keep your trigger finger at a good distance and I like the palm swell. However, it is a non-ambidextrous grip and probably not great if you like a smaller grip like the stock grip, Hogue, or Tango Down.

The MIAD is also nice and I like the adjustable back strap aspect as well as the trigger guard option. I would probably go with this if the Sierra didn't work so well for me.

Houges do it for me BUT you still need a "gapper" so you don't get chaffed after a few days!

+1 on Houge. I have one on my AR and it's very comfy. I'd carry it around all day if people would stop diving in bushes when I walk down the street. It's pretty reasonable too, I think it was around $30.

I'm a fan of the ErgoGrip.
No really annoying finger grooves.
Bigger, and gives better trigger-finger position (for me).
Tough as snot.

I had one from First Samco on my rifle in Iraq. I liked the finger grooves which really helped my grip, especially when my hands were sweaty (always!).

I have Ergo's on all my AR's. The stock grip is too close to the trigger for my long fingers, and the Samco grip is too chunky feeling compared to the Ergo.

I have not tried the Magpul or SPR grips - yet.
