Forgive me but....What?

I keep a complete spare bolt in my MIAD. I also keep a sapre firing pin, firing pin retaining pin, and a spare cam pin. The bolt has had its headspace checked for that rifle so I know it's safe to swap.

It's a hack of a lot easier to just swap bolts than to try to field replace a broken gas ring or fouled ejector. BSW

A2

After 20 + years in the Army and owning my on AR rifles I think that the A2 grip is perfect. I have never given thought to wanting to trade except from
A1 to A2.

I use the MIAD with the large backstrap and flat front strap. It is much bigger than most AR grips and fits my hand better.

For some reason, the way I grip ARs, my fingers don't line up with the finger grooves on AR finger groove grips like the Hogue. On the regular A2 grip, the spike on the front stabs me right in the middle of my middle finger; I find that particular grip to be very uncomfortable. The grip is the first thing that I immediately change out on any AR lower I acquire.

I use a very old A1 grip and love it.
I hate the spike on the A2 grip, and I've found A1s online for five bucks. Couldn't justify the cost of shipping, so I sand the spike off of the A2 grip when the LPK gets here. Works well enough for me.

I use magpul TGs to close the gap and give me more room when wearing gloves. I dont have one on my AR45 yet, but it doesn't have an upper either, so the TG is the least of my worries at the moment.

Yeah, I always thought there was a hole in the product line. I like the Houge Grips, with the exception of those derned grooves. I hate finger grooves that dont fit. I sanded them off of my G19 about ten minutes after getting it home...

Ergo on all mine. It fills the hand and helps for proper finger placement on the trigger, whereas an A2 grip (and especially the Hogue) are too skinny and allow my finger to completely wrap around the trigger...and I hate that.

I run a Magpul MIAD, and I like it for the adjustable front and back straps, and storage. I keep AA batteries for my EOTech in mine.

Magpul MIAD is the way to go. With all the different attatchments and options you can have it exactly how you want it.
