AK dudes, does anyone make a nice ergonomic grip for the milled AKs (mine is a Arsenal slr95)? I'm talking about something like what Hogue makes for the AR-15, soft rubber with finger gooves. I did some searches but really didn't see anything that I was too impressed with.

Neither the tapco (saw style) nor tdi (molded finger groove) are soft. They are hard synthetic.

Havent found anything soft rubber yet. They are all better than the original commie pistol grip style. The SAW grip really fills up your hand.

Thanks for the links. I'm curious about the difference between the stamped and millled receivers. In the first link they say "Fits stamped receiver AK-47 / AK-74 / Mak-90 but can be made to fit milled AK's with slight dremmel work". Which part of the grip needs to be modified?

There is a thick strip of metal under the receiver which holds a bunch of things together on the milled guns. It is too long for the TDI grip, so you have to remove some of the grip material (near the back, on the inside of the grip) to install it. I think the SAW style overall fits better despite being slightly less comfortable.

I wonder if you could use a Hogue Handall grip over the stock one ... they are universal.

Maybe "shape" the grip first by wrapping electrical or duct tape around it then put the handall over it.
