Did anyone catch this morning's Fox and Friends show?

They did a segment on the Atlanta courthouse shooting during which they interviewed a judge in Texas (of course :D ).

The judge, Cynthia Stevens of the Texas 124th (IIRC), did a fantastic job of conveying exactly why she carries a gun with her at all times. I don't know what kind she carries, she never mentioned it or showed it, but she did show part of her shoulder holster during the interview when asked if she was currently carrying the gun.

At one point one of the Fox and Friends hosts asked if she had a "bullet in the chamber." Her response was, "Well, if I didn't, I might as well carry a rock."

I nominate Judge Cynthia Stevens to replace NRA spokesman Wayne Lapierre.

One of the idiots they had on one of the shows was going on about how carrying a gun into the court room would make judges biased against the defendants and whatnot.

It's simple proactive measures like carrying a gun that can stop this kind of madness early and minimize the casualties. If everyone (except the defendant of course) were allowed to pack in a courtroom, how much violence would we really see? I'd wager it would be a lot less than we do now.

Judge Cynthia Stevens is to be praised. Just maybe, the thickheads listening who think being armed is ''so darned dangerous'' ... might take more note, with this coming from a judge (as against us mere peons!).

When oh when will folks get it in their thick craniums that being legally and responsibly armed is NO threat - to anyone, except a BG!

Thats because antis honestly believe that firearms have some sort of psychic power over those who carry them.

I mean this in all seriousness ... this is why some antis will NEVER see the light ... they truly believe that firearms possess some sort of "evil energy" ... probably because they themselves are evil and untrustworthy and would murder people if they could.

So I'm left with the following question; How do you draw smoothly and quickly from under the robe? or do they have some sort of holster bolted under their desk?

True Zund' - so (pathetically) true. Once again .. ''the gun'' is seen as the sinister embodyment of Lucifer!!!! Inevitable corruption of bearer!

Reminds me - once more - of my ol' buddy who insists that carrying a gun is ''inviting trouble'' ... sheesh. :D

I saw a TV reporter interview a female Tyler, Texas judge who was carrying. It might have been 'Cynthia.' Anyway, she was wearing a red business suit and carried a revolver in a shoulder holster under her jacket. It was well concealed and I didn't notice it until she opened her jacket.

She also proudly proclaimed 'this is Texas' and that she is a believer in the 2nd Amendment.

When the Tyler incident occured, she was not carrying. She has since rectified that situation.

The sad thing, Zundfolge, is that I'm afraid you're right. It's a wonder we don't still burn witches at the stake.

On Sat morning, Judge Andrew Napolitano (FOX's chief legal analyst) discussed the issue of judges carrying while in court. He went on to discuss how easy it is for the judges to obtain CCW, fast-tracking and by-passing some of the requirements for normal civilians, which IMO is unfair and made me angry. Basically cutting into the front of the line. Oh well, I gues some folks are still more equal than others (and probably will always be).

When I was in the retail gun business, I sold a Glock 19 to a local judge. he told me that he intended to carry it all day, every day, even in court. He came in and practiced weekly with it also!
