I just wanted to get some constructive critiquing if that's a word, from my fellow members on this gun rack video. Any changes, omissions or deletions that need to be made. As many of you know, I've been making these racks for about 7 or 8 years now and I finally made my first Youtube business video about them. I was told that I should keep it as short as possible, so that's what I tried to do. I just made the video yesterday and posted it on Youtube this morning. I know its kind of self promoting, but I wanted to get some feedback since its my first Youtube business video. Heres the link and thank you for the feedback. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBu_QxVFjDI&feature=youtu.be You can click on the gear icon in the lower left corner of the video, for a better video resolution.

The good

1. The video is around 2 min long. Great job getting to the point. Anybody that has ever watched a "Nutnfancy" video knows what I'm talking about.
2. I didn't have to watch a "talking head". This is huge. Most of us are not professional spokespersons. Folks may laugh at them, but they are a lot better than us "regular Joe's".
3. You gave good examples of your product.

Things I didn't care for

1. Black lettering on the opening/closing scene does not show well next to the shadows. I think it is line two that looks like the first letter may be hidden in the shadow. I know it's not, but it doesn't stand out. I know the scene is dramatic and probably part of your "brand" but it is not as clear as it could be.
2. The Sergio Leone "spaghetti western" music was annoying. I don't know what would be better, but I kept thinking "when was the last time I saw The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly or A Fistful of Dollars". That may be what you were going for, but I wasn't thinking about your gun racks.
3. The fancy "builds", the "spinny" text flying onto the screen is also annoying. I've spent a lot of time building and watching PowerPoint presentations, and those fancy "builds" are always distracting. People are not concentrating on the information, but rather how the text is delivered.

Thanks JTQ, some very good points for me to correct. I learned very quickly posting some of my personal motorcycle ride videos on Youtube that any music you use has to be royalty free, or you pay the artist for the use of their music. There's a lot of royalty free music out there to use for videos, but most of it leaves a lot to be desired. My daughter, who is now 30 so I cant call her a kid anymore, has been telling me for years now that any business that is successful is heavily into social media. Well, at my age I'm not, never been into Twitter, Facebook or any of the other social media formats. Its not that I don't care, but I just don't have the need to know what every one of my friends, family or business acquaintance is doing every day in their life. If its important, they'll tell me. So since she's been telling me this for a long time now, I decided to try my hand at making a business related video. Excellent point about the black lettering next to the dark shadows, I didn't pick up on that until you pointed it out. Thanks again for the constructive critique.

I thought it was very good, much better than a lot of the promotional videos I've watched.

I agree with JTQ regarding the music and spinning text. I found myself lowering the sound and noting the distraction of the spinney text.

For free music you can use something classical. I'm sure you can find a two minute segment. Try Vivaldi four seasons - Fall, or something from Mozart like the Marriage of Figaro "Overture".

You've heard this stuff before in cartoons and commercials.
