Place To Shoot near Cleveland, Ohio

Hi all,

My business is moving me 1 state to the left, from Pennsylvania to Ohio.

Currently, I'm in a company paid for furnished apartment in Beachwood. I work in Euclid.

Can anyone recommend a rental pistol range in the area? I don't need to rent a gun, just an indoor place to shoot in the evenings that isn't too far to drive.

I'll be looking for a club once I find a permanent place to live.

Stonewall was about the best, but it's some distance from you.

Several people have recommended Stonewall, but in my experience they have "issues" with supervision and safety.

If you're interested in a PRIVATE range, you should consider http://www.nosc-online.org. I consider it the safest, cleanest range in Cuyahoga County. If you want to see it, there's open shooting on Wednesday nights between 7:00pm-10:00pm.

I work in Euclid myself. The closest place in that area is Sherwoods. I haven't been there in a very long time, not since it was known as Big Bores. A relatively small range, 50 ft, IIRC. Stonewalls (i use to go there often a long time ago when the range cost was $8/hr. Last time I was there 4 or 5 years ago it was $12/hr. 75 ft.) is bit ofa haul from Euclid. (From Euclid, take I-271 south to either Rt. 82 (go West) or continue to I-77 North to Rt. 82 (go West about a mile to Ken Mar).

Nowadays, I go to the Grand River public range off of Rt. 88. Outdoor range run by the OH Dept Nat Resources, range officers on site. Quite a ways from Euclid and they close at 5:00 Tu-Su, closed Mo. I'll be there tomorrow in fact. (I'm usually there every Su or Sa if it isn't raining hard.) $24/yr, 25 yd, 50 yd, 100 yd.
