I'll be in Prescott next weekend visiting family. Are there any outdoor ranges, or areas of land where people are premitted to shoot near Prescott?

Forest fire restrictions are in effect, including shooting in the Prescott National Forest, so things are pretty limited at the moment. The only public outdoor range open right now (that I know of) is at the Prescott Sportsmen's Club.

At other times Dosie Pit is a popular spot, you would just go out Iron Springs Rd and turn left at mile marker 8, hard to miss all the informal ranges along there.
